Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College & Hospital (SOMCH) is a prestigious state-funded medical college located in the vibrant city of Sylhet, Bangladesh. Established in 1936, it initially served as an institutional hospital to cater to the medical needs of British and allied troops during World War II.

In 1948, recognizing the importance of medical education, the hospital underwent significant upgrades and expansion to transform into a full-fledged medical school. The college was equipped with qualified teaching staff and residential accommodations to produce Licentiate of Medical Faculty (LMF) doctors.
