Each academic year, approximately 60 students are admitted to this college. The college offers a five-year MBBS course, and currently, there are around 300 students studying there. The college has a permanent campus spread over 30 acres in Jhilongja, Cox's Bazar, providing a fantastic atmosphere for learning. Male and female students have separate hostels with all necessary facilities. The students have the opportunity to gain practical experience at the 250-bed Cox's Bazar District Sadar Hospital, which serves as the temporary facility for the Medical College Hospital. The college covers all major branches of medical education and has 76 teachers working in various departments. The current principal is Professor Dr. Anupam Barua. Cox's Bazar Medical College is affiliated with Chittagong Medical University, and upon completion of their fifth year and passing the final Professional MBBS examination, students receive an MBBS degree from Chittagong University. The university conducts the Professional examinations, and the results are provided accordingly. Additionally, internal assessments such as card completions, term-end exams, and regular assessments are conducted at regular intervals.
